The Aging in Place Blog is written by Elizabeth Greenewald, Assoc AIA, CAPS, of Atlanta Home Modifications, LLC. Atlanta Home Modifications provides accessibility design, installation services, and stair lift prices to people with disabilities and people who desire to remain living comfortably in their homes as they age. Offering handicap access wheelchair ramps for homes, stair lifts, platform lifts, home elevators, kitchen and bath disability remodeling, and grab bar installation to 55+ seniors and others; we desire to faithfully serve within our community.
Elizabeth combines her architectural design expertise with her desire to assist seniors, and people with disabilities, as they seek to overcome home mobility and accessibility challenges. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Architecture (B ARCH) and Bachelor of Science in Architecture (BS) degrees at Kent State University in Ohio. She is experienced in site and building design development and construction project management.
Elizabeth has completed Certified Aging In Place Specialist (CAPS) training and certification through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This course includes intensive instruction in accessible barrier free and universal design home modifications for the kitchen, bathroom, living areas, garage, driveway, entrances, and more. Elizabeth was previously registered as an architect in Pennsylvania.
